Rangers players have been granted an extended seven-day New Year holiday break by the clubโ€™s technical adviser, Fidelis Ilechukwu.

The players were initially scheduled to resume training on Friday, January 3, but are now expected to reconvene at the Nkponkiti Road Enugu camp on Friday, January 10.

The Flying Antelopes currently occupy fourth position on the league table with 31 points from 19 games.

โ€œNo, we havenโ€™t resumed,โ€ the clubโ€™s spokesman, Novelty Okolie, confirmed to Complete Sports.

โ€œThe players were originally scheduled to return to camp last Friday, but that date was later extended to this Friday by the TA (Technical Adviser).โ€

Rangers will face Niger Tornadoes in their opening fixture of the second stanza.

The NPFL will commence on Saturday, January 25.
